I wish I could say that I don’t have this conversation often, but I do, and that’s why I am posting this. So many people - successful business owners, people with dreams, or those who want more for their life in any way - often find themselves stopping short of taking the next step.

WHY?

Most people, if not every person I talk to, mentions this one thing: “But what will *they* think?”

I don’t know who “they” is to you, but when you live your life for them and not you, the only person missing out is YOU.

YOU miss out on that business opportunity.
YOU miss out on that chance to speak at a conference.
YOU miss out on your big break.
YOU miss out.

Not *them*.

Of course it’s a lot easier said than done, but slowly working to change the way you perceive the world and the way you perceive yourself is a huuuuugeeee step in the right direction, to taking a hold of your future and your now, and making it what you DESERVE it to be. You get one life, so live it to its fullest - in professional AND personal ways.

I wish I could say that I don’t have this conversation often, but I do, and that’s why I am posting this. So many people - successful business owners, people with dreams, or those who want more for their life in any way - often find themselves stopping short of taking the next step.

WHY?

Most people, if not every person I talk to, mentions this one thing: “But what will *they* think?”

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I have merch! I created this line - and much more to come soon - from a universal experience I feel most of us have: we learned most of what we know from the internet, but for me, it was YOUTUBE! I grew up with it being second nature to go to YouTube and search up a how to video on ANYTHING I didn’t know how to do and everything I know now, I credit to what I learned from the creators there.

I never went to college. I never got the degree and the university merch, the “swag” and the class ring. I never got that experience and I never got to say “yeah, I went to university.”

Oddly enough, there is a weird stigma sometimes around people not being educated if they didn’t go to college, but it’s not true. Resources are EVERYWHERE, and for me, this was mine. I have so much knowledge and PRACTICAL skills thanks to YouTube.

So, out of my *kinda* selfish desire to be able to represent my university, I made this line. I hope you guys enjoy it. 🫶🏼

I’ve hit rock bottom a few times in my life, and here’s what I’ve learned: making excuses and finding ways to blame others so I don’t have to change or accept responsibility only made things worse. I got more lonely, I pushed more people away, and I was more sad.

For some, being at rock bottom can be a lot more of a dangerous last resort. Settling for the comfort of what you know may not be an option anymore, and this place you’re in is giving you a way out, another choice. What will you do?

As your friend, cheering you on in your personal and professional endeavors, I would challenge you to see the situation for what it is, even though it is painful, and begin taking steps to rebuild a healthier, more driven, more successful version of you.
